The playlist is a three-song circuit. Each circuit has one song for cadence, intervals and endurance. The goal is to connect with your body to attack each song/drill differently. "Pedal diversity" as we call it.
Every ten weeks, we do a Functional Threshold Power (FTP) test. An FTP test gauges how hard you can ride if you had to pedal for one hour. It’s a difficult class as most indoor riders can’t pedal for three or four minutes without needing recovery.
Each President’s Day, I do a “Denomination’s Ride.” There are intervals of one, two, five, ten and twenty minutes. It’s a little harder to pull off in a 50 minute class. So I created a new profile called Dead Presidents, with the ten-minute interval repeated twice.
